I'm currently working/serving in Kuwait and decided to use the Internet Purchase Division of Countrywide, for a home loan. The representative Doug Weber was helpful to a point. When the purchase fell through, he promised me that I would get my Loan Fee back. I Didn't. When I contatced him, he told me that he was no longer working in that part of the company and that he would give my name to another person. This person never contatced me. I attempted to go through the local office in my hometown and spoke to a Lynett Traub. At first she said she would help, but follow up calls to her office went unanswered. After talking to Countrywide via a 800 number and being told that they could not help me, I wrote a detailed letter to the Loan Application office in Simi Valley, Ca. My letter arrived there on the 31st of Oct and as of this posting, I have yet to hear from them. I would urge all potential customers of Countrywide to avoid these crooks at all costs. I thought I had problems, after reading the rest of these postings, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
