See budhibbs.com for a sample letter with that address The physical address may well just be a satellite office. Others will respond with specifics but you need to advise the company IN WRITING ***DO NOT TALK TO THEM** you deny the debt and for them to validate it. (since it isn't your debt - they can't validate it to you....) Do not sign your sign your name - print it. As Steve and others have pointed out, with a sample of your signature they can forge documents. Send the letter certified and in the letter put the certified number on it and send it return receipt requested. They have something like 30 days to respond to your request for validation. You might also want to notify the credit bureau (sorry "information management company's" that this is not your debt. Others will be by shortly with some excellent counsel for you .... | The ONLY way to do a credit bureau dispute. | |
When you do a dispute to a credit bureau, you MUST hold them accountable, or they will do nothing but send a mesage to the creditor/collector which always comes back "verified" and the item remains unchanged. In your dispute letter, you clearly dispute the debt, AND exercise your rights under the FCRA to get copies of all communications used in the dispute/verification process. Send this letter by certified mail, return reciept requested. be sure to put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records as it proves exactly what you sent. Now, when they fail to fix the problem you have proof of the violation of your rights, and you sue all parties involved and get paid. STAY OFF THE PHONE!!
