Last summer I was outside doing yard work and my daughter comes to me with this young, cute boy and says he's selling magazines for a trip... Or course she is a teenager and fasctinated with him and his lies. I twenty question him and got bad vibes right away. He said he went to school here, he mom was a nurse, gave me names and everything but they didn't ring a bell with me. Plus he knew none of my sons in high school. Needless to say we got talked into a magazine which we did not need but my daughter wanted to help this young man out with his story of needing on one more subscription!! I knew in my heart it was a scam but gave him the benifit of the doubt. That was August 26, 2006 and it is now April 2007 and no magazine.. I live in Ottawa Illinois and heard nothing of this scam going around so I'm wondering if I was the only one but I doubt it. Like most people we just sit around and complain about getting ripped off and do nothing. A similiar incident occurred to me over 22 years ago in New Mexico when I couldn't afford to be ripped off and it hurt us bad. Once again it has happened and I'm not going to take it! These people should either be arrested for stealing or be put out of business. People who have done less crimes are behind bars so why not these people? Lavonne Ottawa, Illinois U.S.A.

Believe it or not...

22 years ago, you may very well have been duped by the very same Magcrew, controlled by Vinnie Pitts, that your unsuspecting and enthusiastic daughter fell for. He has been taking money to the tune of MILLIONS of dollars. a lot of it lost to the legit economy from our porches for longer than that. Why? He can. simple as that. Our lawmakers have just never made it a priority to watchdog this industry, but let me tell you, like Capone and the mob, these Magscum Mgrs WILL get noticed someday by the darkest and MOST unforgiving and all-powerful beauracracies, the IRS. Because when our Government and Lawmakers are asleep at the wheel. they seem to sit up and take notice when there is REVENUE to be had. Vinnie, like R. Wood, Joe Edge, L. Ellis and a long list of punks who get rich taking your hard earned dollars, well, lets hope they live long enough to fall under the eyes of Uncle Sam. Karma baby. No offense, but...

People today need to wake up and start realizing the world isn't a nice place and keep themselves up to date on scams and educate themselves to recognize when they are being taken advantage of, not to mention let their hormonal teenage daughters make the financial decisions in the household.
